Conrad J. Lowell, President & CEO of Lowell International Company, graduated from San Diego State University in 1986 with a B.S. in Business/Finance and a B.A. in French. He honed his business skills on Wall Street, working for three years as a business systems analyst for Prudential-Bache Securities. Soon after, he seized the opportunity to build an import business bringing Polish products to the United States, and incorporated Lowell International Company in 1993. Conrad founded Lowell International Foods and Lowell Beauty Care as wholly-owned subsidiaries that now import and distribute over 15,000 premium specialty products from Europe. Conrad is living his American dream and believes strongly in giving back to the country that embraced him. In addition to creating jobs in the U.S. by purchasing milk and producing its wholesome European-style yogurt here, Lowell regularly provides financial support and food donations to charitable organizations and local communities. In 2006, Conrad was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame, sponsored by the University of Illinois at Chicago, in recognition of his business success and contributions to the community. |
